Wowza. Every time we drop something new, I stand back in awe of what we have accomplished. Yvonne and I have no business being podcasters. She's a whiz at color correcting your hair. I can 100% drag you out of a style rut. But both of us are clueless when it comes to, well, this! One thing we have learned on this podcasting journey is the power of persistence. Believe us when we say, "Where there is a will, there is a way."
A little over a year ago we turned our haphazard live broadcasts into a full-fledged podcast. Because we didn't want to sound like total losers, we learned how to use audio software, podcast apps, and fancy microphones. When recording on Instagram got to be more trouble than it was worth, we learned how to record on Zoom and separate audio and video. We created intros and outros (after we looked up what they were). We created a topic spreadsheet (lovingly known as 'The Sheet') to keep ourselves organized. We designed logos and brand sheets to create consistency in our messaging. There were so many times when we asked ourselves, "Who are we?" and why had we gotten into this?!?
The truth is that we're two women with a passion for helping other women. There's nothing super extraordinary about us other than this is our big desire. We say we want to help women be the glam in the room because that's exactly what we want to do. We didn't set out to go down this path, but the further along we go, the more we want to keep doing. Sometimes the path chooses you.
Now, here we are with our very own, official website. Woohoo!! Somebody pop the champagne! We've started off simple, but I know this will be a jumping off point for bigger and better things. As of this writing, you'll be able to search for and listen to our published podcast episodes. Plus you'll be able to view the show notes (in case the podcast app you use doesn't have them or they aren't easy to find). We added a blog so that there could be a place where Yvonne and I could post in-depth commentary on topics you enjoy. Consider our website to be the hub for all things The Chic Strategy. New stuff will be going up soon, so be sure to stay tuned. Until then, you can join our Patreon for all the fun extras that come with being a part of this fantastic community.
